About the Event
Peace on Our Terms: The Global Battle for Women's Rights After the First World War tells the long-overlooked story of global women's activism a century ago, in the aftermath of the First World War.
The book follows dozens of remarkable women from Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America as they crossed oceans and continents, commanded meeting halls, and marched in the streets, boldly insisting the postwar international order would be neither peaceful nor secure until women were given an equal role in its crafting.
Join Godha Bapuji, Founder of Women in Crisis in Response, a social enterprise that champions the core principles of UNSCR1325 and Human Security, in conversation with historian Mona L. Siegel, author of Peace on Our Terms, as we discuss the book and reflect on women's activism past and present.
